Carn Ysgubor

Primary Reference Number (PRN) : 2615
Trust : Dyfed
Community : St Davids and The Cathedral Close
Unitary authority : Pembrokeshire
NGR : SM6999824605
Site Type (preferred type first) : Bronze Age Round Barrow
Status : Pembrokeshire Coast National Park

Summary :
Vague traces remain of the base of what must have once been an impressive round barrow cairn. However, this round barrow site has now been re-used, with the stones from the original cairn restructured to create a modern shelter/beacon/lighthouse (see PRN 48348). A flint scraper was found on the site in 1920. This barrow is intervisible with another round barrow, PRN 2616, located further to the south also on Ramsey Island. N Cook PFRS 2004
